Happy Father's Day Dads!

(Mom refuses to touch the fish)
John caught the second biggest bass (Josiah caught the biggest... go figure!)

As you can see, the pond was low....I think that's why we caught that many fish, they were all concentrated.
Isn't Josiah cute!
My favorite part! Daddy let me drive all over the place!

Okay, haven't posted anything for quite awhile now.....sorry to have kept yall in the dark. I'll catch you up...
On May 21st, I drove up (well, I wish I drove up, I actually caught a ride with the McMinns)to Frontier Camp and spent the week there. Christie and John went as well (John went as a counselor.... and yes, technically, I'm too old, but since I brought Christie along, they let me go another year. I'll go as staff next year) but Christie rode with the Ricks and John had already gone up for staff training. I had a great week! Had great cabin mates, and great activities! Went home the next Sat (which was also an adventure..... we rode in Tommy's old Volvo ....with no air conditioning!)
The next weekend was the annual SETHSA conference, which was also a ton a fun. My card playing skills have been sharpened :). On Sunday (the 4th) was the church baptism (which was at the McMinns, we went swimming afterwards....that was fun!) The next weekend was my parents' anniversary, and the went and stayed at a bed & breakfast, leaving John and I (well, John was gone most of the time) to make sure the younger three brush their teeth :)
I've devoured a dozen books in the last month....unfortunately, I've lost alot of sleep too (some of those books are so good, it's positively impossible to put them down at bedtime!). Anyway, sorry, I'm going off topic.
After church and potluck and soccer on Father's Day, (yesterday) We went to our family farm. We caught 81 fish between all of us in a few hours (hehe hoho!!) I caught 21 of em (which is really good for me). I'll post pics later.
My Aunt's here visiting, therefore,... duty calleth!

Hey guys! We had a great piano recital last night! Missy - you have SO motivated me to get that song learned and up to speed! Hannah - It was so good to see you! Lydia - I loved the second song you played....thanks for performing for your adoring fans ;) My mom took some pictures....now you can look back and laugh at my hair for the rest of your lives..... Anna really got into it this time..

Oh, and here's Hannah and me before we left...(Hannah - you can click on the pic and you should be able to get it on your computer, one way or another :)

Christie has decided (at least for the day) to become a photographer. Being the awesome siblings we are, the boys and I volunteered to be practice people....
Watch out, they're dangerous (I have first-hand experience!)
But I love them anyway :)
They can get on my nerves every once in a while
But they are SO cute!
But I still can't get Josiah to smile with his eyes open!
Christie's turn.... (no..she's not as dangerous...but the boys convinced us that their were bad guys under the house, and we needed to grab our guns)

Fear not, good people of Tomball....the bad guys don't stand a chance against my elite troops!

We had an awesome church camp-out this past weekend! We left at 1:45 on Thursday, and got there (Pecan Park, San Marcos, Texas) near 5:00. The Zimmermans were already there, the Watkins dropped by, and then went to stay at their farm for the night, and the McMinns (all but Tommy, who came early Saturday morning) came in not far behind us... everybody else came next day, and pretty soon we had quite a group! Anyway, the first night, a hurricane-like-major-windy-thunderstorm came through, and the only tent that stayed dry was shared by John, Christie, and myself. More rain hit us the next night (much to the dismay of those who slept outside, including John and me, and had to crawl back in their tents at 3:00 in the morning!) but it wasn't nearly as big a storm.
We had a great time in the river...(besides the big rocks under the water that produced many a cut and bruise on my poor battered knees and feet). On Saturday, we put together a 3-hour canoe/kayak trip. John and I signed up for a kayak. That was a ton of fun (especially the big rope swing we found, and did flips off of...well, most of us did flips....I belly-flopped). I didn't think it so fun on Sunday morning though...man, I was SORE.
We saw a bunch of snakes, and there were a few gar sightings..but John (poor guy) didn't get a chance to use his bow.
We left really late Saturday night...got home near 12:30...slept in til 11:45 Sunday morning..took a NICE LONG shower....oh bother, I wish to add more, but duty calleth.. I must fly..will give an update soon :)

John bought a fishing bow to shoot gar (a type of big fish) with.... crazy guy. I've never seen him so excited! Anyway, in all of his excitement, he totally decked himself in camo, and got us to take his pic.... I think he's planning to try it out when we go camping this weekend...we'll see :)
